Congratulations to the three winners of the Ambivalences program: Ambre Charpagne, Kell, and Baptiste Leroux, a 2020 graduate of ÉSADHAR.
The three regional centers for artistic creation in the digital environment—in Brittany, Normandy, and the Pays de la Loire—have joined forces to create Ambivalences, an interregional cooperation program designed to support artistic creation and its dissemination.
Exemplaires Biennial 2026 - Participation by ÉSADHAR

ESADHAR will participate in the 6th edition of the Exemplaires Biennial – Forms and Practices of Publishing. It will take place at the École Supérieure d’Art de Lorraine in Metz from March 26 to 28. Dedicated to contemporary publishing practices, the biennial explores the transformations in publishing: the rise of digital media, advances in printing technologies, and new modes of publication. The biennial contributes to this discussion through graphic and editorial design workshops organized by the fourteen participating French-speaking art and design schools.

"Embouchures," an event celebrating graduates of the DNSEP/Master's in Creative Writing,

ESADHAR, in partnership with Le Portique—Le Havre’s regional center for contemporary art—and the University of Le Havre-Normandy, is hosting a unique event celebrating graduates of the DNSEP and the Master’s in Creative Writing from April 2 to 4, 2026. Performances, a symposium, workshops, and exhibitions are on the program for these literary journeys, where voices from Le Havre and beyond will come together. Whether offering an overview of the literary landscape or a return to its home port, this event will be an opportunity—if not for a dip in the sea—to dive into words!

The preparatory work for this urban exhibition is on display through March 27 at Rouen City Hall.

Rue de Paris is a series of ten monumental intaglio engravings, born from a dialogue between a graphic designer and a printer. Created and printed between 2015 and 2018, this series reveals a little-known aspect of the work of Frédéric Teschner (1972–2016), a French graphic designer whose creations have left their mark on contemporary graphic design.

STEP - Strategies for Transformative Education in Public Art Spaces

In 2025, ÉSADHAR, a recipient of the Cooperation Partnerships in Higher Education program, launched the European project STEP – Strategies for Transformative Education for Art in Public Spaces, supported by Erasmus+. This educational innovation and research project, spanning three years (2026–2028), aims to renew educational practices through interdisciplinary, collaborative, and transnational approaches.
This international cooperation program brings together five European higher education institutions in art and design: the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of Brussels – ArBA-ESA (Belgium), the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto – FBAUP (Portugal), the Fontys Academy of the Arts (Netherlands), and the Kunstuniversität Linz (Austria), coordinated by ésadhar – École Supérieure d’Art et Design Le Havre-Rouen (France).

Marie Plagnol invites Anna Holveck

As part of Marie Plagnol’s curatorial residency, Anna Holveck will lead a workshop in February 2026 focused on connection through the voice. Over the course of three days, a group of six strangers will be invited to listen to one another and explore the unique qualities of each voice together.

Launch of the European STEP project,

To mark the launch of the STEP project—Strategies for Transformative Education for Art in Public Spaces—ArBA-EsA (Belgium) organized a public conference in the form of an open discussion on March 5.
The two-day launch brought together the STEP team to collectively explore public spaces and places as a medium for creation, the social, political, and ecological challenges of site-specific practices, and ways of teaching and transmitting knowledge in, with, and through the city.
