Doctorate
The RADIAN doctoral program is supported by éсадhar, ésam Caen-Cherbourg, ENSA Normandie, and École doctorale 558 Normandie Humanités, and receives financial support from the Normandy region and the Ministry of Culture.
The RADIAN doctoral program is open to candidates who hold a Master II degree and are actively involved in contemporary creative practices. The RADIAN doctoral program is open for applications on an annual basis. The schedule will be published on the ésadhar website in early 2025.
The RADIAN program consists of two sections:
→ An “architecture” section;
→ A “contemporary creation” section covering the fields of contemporary art, design, and literary creation.
Application procedures
Applications must be submitted exclusively in electronic format via the application platform. The application consists of a single PDF document containing:
- A CV of no more than 6,000 characters, including spaces;
- A detailed research project with a specific title, no more than 9,000 characters including spaces, outlining the research topic, specifying the section and disciplinary field of the application (architecture/art/design/literary creation) and including a preliminary bibliography;
- A set of iconographic and textual documents, a portfolio of around 20 pages, enabling the jury to gain a meaningful understanding of the creative work already undertaken by the candidates.
Please note that failure to comply with the procedure will result in the application being rejected.
