PROCEDURE FOR INCOMING STUDENTS (exchange)

The Ecole supérieure d’art et design le Havre-Rouen (ESADHaR) is a public institution of higher education in art, design and creative writing in Normandy, located along the Seine river and easily accessible by train from Paris.

ESADHaR has about 300 students spread over two campuses, each with its own speciality. Graphic design and Creative writing at Campus Le Havre, Fine Art at Campus Rouen.

ESADHaR offers an extensive range of studios, workshops and equipments : screen printing, engraving, lithography, wood, ceramics, fablab, metal, bookbinding, photography, video, virtual reality...

ESADHaR’s numerous international partnerships offer opportunities for students to participate in exchanges within the framework of ERASMUS + but also around the world.

Two specialized libraries allow students to learn and deepen their comprehension in the fields of art and design.

Gallery spaces on each campus host exhibitions by professional artists and support students to perfect their skills and promote their works.

An ambitious publication policy of books by artist and reviews enables dissemination and diffusion of research.

ESADHaR awards national diplomas of the French Ministry of Culture, granted the equivalence of bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

RADIAN practiced-based PhD(Research in Art, Design, Innovation, Architecture in Normandy)in collaboration with Normandy University.

ESADHaR also offers :
→ a public preparatory program for entrance examinations to higher schools of art and design.
→ a centre for continuing education in art & design.
→ evening classes ans short courses for children and adults
→ cultural events (conferences, seminars, exhibitions, performances, etc.), in collaboration with Normandy actors but also on an international level.

The ESADHaR collaborates with a network of prestigious European and international institutions (universities and schools) on all continents.

Application exchange programme

Please edit and return the signed TAÏGA pre-registration document with all supporting documents to your home institution’s exchange coordinator, who will forward it to the ESADHaR by e-mail only.

Exchange students are admitted to the ESADHaR exchange programmes for one semester or one academic year and are generally enrolled in the second or in the 4th year and in one of the differents departments. The maximum study period may not exceed one year.

Deadlines
Nomination and application deadlines for exchange students:
→ Semester 1 and the whole academic year: 30 April
→ Semester 2: 31 October

Fees
No specifics fees: only the fees from your home institution.

Cost
Approximate monthly costs:
- Accommodation 500€
- Study material/books 200€
- Food/drinks 250€
- Transportation 75€

Insurance
All students in France, even those on exchange programmes, are required by law to register with the Social Security system. Registration is free but mandatory.
